This week we are pleased to introduce you to Drew Barnes, one of our engineers. He has been with us for a little over a year doing drawings, 3D models, and engineering - mostly on millwork projects. His job involves daily use of AutoCad, iX, Cut Rite, and Production Coach. Drew loves seeing his drawings come to life as a real product that is built and then installed to be used for a long time. He also enjoys the environment and the people he works with.
Outside of work, Drew appreciates spending any free time he has with his family. He and his girlfriend also have two well-trained Golden Retrievers that participate in competitions (beautiful dogs!). In the future, he hopes to visit Colorado to do some snowboarding. Drew also wants to continue to learn and grow in his role at Commercial Interiors, including gaining more knowledge about the business side of things.

It's time to introduce you to another one of our valuable employees - Marcia Dell. Marcia does cabinet assembly and has been with us for about a year. In addition to assembling cabinets, she installs hardware, helps with finishing, runs the dowel machine, assists with packing and making pallets. She loves working at Commercial Interiors and gets along with everyone. She appreciates the work schedule and how she can work at her own pace in her own little "bubble" so-to-speak and not be bothered.
Marcia is a single mother of 2 children, ages 7 and 9. She loves to sing, to paint and is very artistic by nature. She is a patient, laid-back person with a good heart and strong work ethic. At some point, she would love to get a Harley Softail classic. She would also like to continue learning and growing in her role at Commercial Interiors with the goal of moving up in the company.

Very awesome lady!!
We'd like you to meet Daniel Waller, a CNC operator who has been with us for 2 years. As a CNC operator, his main job duty is to cut out parts for cabinets. However, he can also run the beam saw, cut solid surface, assist with edgebanding, laminating, building cabinets and driving a forklift. His favorite thing about working at Commercial Interiors is the people. He gets along with everyone and appreciates the camaraderie of his fellow employees.
Outside of work, he enjoys making signs. He has his own small CNC machine that allows him to pursue that hobby. One of his goals is to visit his friend in Washington someday.

We are proud to have been invited to be a part of The Catamount Foundation's 1st Charity Golf Tournament for their Atlanta branch. Hot day on the course but a lot of fun and all for a good cause. The Catamount Foundation focuses on supporting individuals within the communities they work for who are experiencing unexpected or extraordinary hardships or families who have been impacted by on the job accidents, thus impacting their ability to work. They also seek to grow the industry by funding scholarships to support young people who are interested in pursuing an education in construction related criteria.

Doing it the old fashioned way! Here are some photos of a recent site survey we did in order to design millwork to the owners specific needs. Walked the site in person with the GC and owner to review the space and design a custom solution that fits his requirements.
Our team of millwork experts can consult with an owner to ensure proper functionality of the millwork based on their operational processes, then our design team works the magic to bring it to life by developing 3D models of the space and make it a reality. Our team is flexible and experienced enough to work with any level of available information to custom design a solution to keep customers happy.

This week we'd like to introduce you to Jamie Cowart. He currently handles receiving and inventory control. Jamie has been with us since the beginning of Commercial Interiors - a whopping 12 years! His daily duties include accepting deliveries & signing packing slips, verifying counts and then delivering materials to lamination and machinery. Over the years, Jamie has learned many different functions within the company including welding, operating the CNC, design, door assembly/manufacturing and even estimating. Jamie is well known for his organization skills. In fact, he says that's what he loves most about his job - it plays to his natural strength of wanting to keep things in order.
When he was growing up, Jamie always aspired to be a good father and family man someday. His children make him feel like he has accomplished that goal. Jamie also loves anything to do with working on cars - whether it's the cars we drive, model cars, RC cars or Hot Wheels. One of his goals is to hopefully obtain his holy grail Ford Mustang in the near future and restore it to perfection, thus giving it new life.

We are proud to present our very first employee of the month! We finished up Peachtree Immediate Care in Hiram, GA yesterday thanks to her help. Not many 5 year olds can hang with their dad until midnight to complete a project! Her responsibilities included the following: marking the cut line because she won't give the pencil back to dad; always knowing where the measuring tape is because she took it from the tool pouch and left it somewhere; and delegating cleaning to anyone but her. Her favorite things about coming to work are playing with the shop puppy and wandering around the shop to check on everything.
On a serious note, this is the first Peachtree Immediate Care we've done where in addition to millwork, we provided the doors, frames & hardware, restroom hardware, wood trims, and miscellaneous finishes like privacy curtains and wall protection. Even though it got down to the wire, we are happy to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

OSHA please don’t look at this picture! Lol 😂
That’s a pretty adorable employee of the month. ❤️
What a great helper
We are excited to share finished photos of a recently completed project: Building Kidz. This is a first for us - all of our product lines were used in this single project. We handled the cabinets, countertops, wood trim, window trim, FRP, interior doors, and restroom partitions. Typically, those items would have been provided by five different subs; which means 5 different companies, points of contact, and schedules to manage. By having us handle all those areas, it streamlined and simplified things for our customer. We coordinated and controlled the order of delivery and installation on those items. This eliminated any lost time between one company finishing and another starting; thus resulting in seamless installation progression.
We are more than just a commercial millwork company; we are an interior solutions company.
